A brilliant night out in the French Alps. Everybody speaks English. Quick access to Val d’Isre and Tignes known as the Espace Killy ski area. There’s a lot of traffic and whilst there are many buses during the daytime, committed apres skiers had better aim to be within walking distance from the town.

Cons

Costly. Busy and popular with English holiday makers, so not for those seeking a classic French ski town to relish a calming trip. Several ski lifts can shut in bad conditions. A few challenging blue and green pistes.
