I’m happy I spent my honeymoon in Glasgow, Scotland. After this romantic experience, I have to say that it is one of the best European honeymoon destinations ever. You don’t need to be on your honeymoon, bringing your mate, or partner on a romantic vacation to Glasgow Scotland , you need look no further than Inverlochy castle.

You don’t want to be staying here if you were looking for a inexpensive honeymoon destination that’s for sure, but having said that, if you get the opportunity to stay at Inverlochy Castle, then get it.

If you can afford it, then take the King’s Suite, not only is it very large, but attractively equipped, very conventional, but still with modern touches such as plasma television and internet access. The bath is also big, and the towels beautifully soft, and the walk in shower, which is something we both love.

We didn’t go there for the room, but all the other touches from a hotel like this. Inverlochy Castle is one of the most beautifully repaired castles. It was raining when we came and we were met with an umbrella. The hotel staff accomodated of our luggage and car parking. What added to the magic was when we walked into chocolates and champagne in our suite.

This was pampering, and it continued throughout our stay, from breakfast in our suite, where we looked out over Ben Nevis from one window, and the loch from the other. The food was to die for, and all our meals were quite superb.

You will enjoy the experience and place more if you are fond of a bit of hill walking, photography, just basking the scene, because there isn’t a lot amusement around the region, but then we were on our honeymoon!!!

What we liked best was how we were cared for by the hotel staff. They were entirely respectful to our privacy.

Because of this wonderful experience, I would recommend Inverlochy Castle in Glasgow, Scotland to be one of the most luxurious hotels and one of the best European honeymoon destinations.
