Elliptical cross trainers have been around for several years and their popularity grows continually. Elliptical cross trainers give you an impact-free, complete workout that seems less stressful than with other types of fitness equipment. You will expend just as much energy using an elliptical cross trainer, but you will feel as if you are not working quite as hard due to the minimal impact on the joints and the level of comfort you will feel while training. An elliptical cross trainer combines the benefits of a stair climber, treadmill, and a rowing machine. You can effective work several areas of the body at one time and expend less effort than if you did the exercises separately.

When choosing an elliptical cross trainer, you should look for a machine with upper body levers, both forward and reverse motions, and adjustable pedals and resistance. You can purchase an elliptical cross trainer for as little as $200 and as much as $3,500 or more. The type you choose will depend on the frequency in which you intend to use your elliptical cross trainer and the intensity and additional features you desire. If you intend to perform intense workouts with your elliptical cross trainer then you should expect to spend at least $100.

Elliptical cross trainers have replaced many of the more traditional types of fitness equipment found in gyms and in homes. You can get a highly effective workout with one simple machine instead of needing several items to achieve your fitness goals. There are several brands of elliptical cross trainers and a large price range from which to choose. Make sure the brand you choose is a well-known manufacturer and includes an excellent warranty.

PowerPoint is a strong program with a plethora of useful and special features. It is also almost expected from a presenter — but, unfortunately, often with dread. I am not suggesting that we shouldn’t use PowerPoint. Just remember it is a tool, and only a tool. Used properly, it is your friend. Yes, visuals are important and can add an extra and memorable element to your presentations when used with planning, thought and care.

Start by deciding what purpose your use of PowerPoint serves. Below are some considerations for using and/or not using this slick program:

You feel you should use the program. My advice is to avoid using PowerPoint for this reason. Many people who travel this route, end up with a program that falls flat, because they are obviously not comfortable presenting this way.

You love all of the bells and whistles.

You have so much information to impart, you feel that this is a way to get it all up in front of your audience. This approach doesn’t work well either, because the slides get overloaded with words that many can’t see, and the presenter’s approach often ends up with him or her just reading from the slides.

By now, you are wondering when and if to ever use PowerPoint. Yes, use it as a powerful visual tool. I suggest creating short, punchy slides with few words, striking (but not distracting) graphics, and large, easy to read fonts. These slides will serve as an outline for your presentation and move you along at a fast and ordered pace. When you show meaningful graphs that explain, and graphics that make your main points memorable, you have succeeded.

Remember, you are the presenter, your PowerPoint program isn’t. It should be your friend and partner — a trusted and useful assistant. The following tips will help you create a PowerPoint presentation that enhances - and doesn’t detract - from you as the speaker:

Slides with a dark background and light lettering are easier to read in most lighting conditions.

Sans-serif fonts are easier to read from a distance.

Use shadows behind the fonts and graphics to make them more prominent.

KISS! Keep it simple, silly! As you prepare your presentation, repeat this over and over to yourself, so you are not tempted by all of the extras.

And always have a backup plan in case the projector and/or your program doesn’t work. If you are going to use PowerPoint slides, have the program on a separate disk, just in case, and always try to arrive and set up early to make sure that everything is working the way you want it to. If you know that there will be Internet access, it doesn’t hurt to have your slides up on a site, in case you need to access them that way.

Remember, use PowerPoint for power, not distraction.

Stud poker is a very an immensely trendy casino pastime. The gamesters, playing with either fully or partially covered hands, wager in a central pot that is finally given to the last player endowed with winning set of cards.

Assuming you do not comprehend betting house games, do read on —

A running definition of a betting saloon is an edifice that accomodates games of luck. Guests will play by operating the one-armed-bandits or trying out different games of luck. Gaming hall games by and large have methodically derived percentages included which promise the management retains a leverage above the guests.

More often than not, gambling saloon games encourage you to get hooked very swiftly. There is the famous one-armed-bandit, a coin operated appliance with 3 or more discs that whirl once a bar on its flank is started. This appliance customarily returns according to a combination of logos presented on the display of the instrument. Sadly, gambling house games furnish the mirage of having the upper hand, deluding the customer: the participant can make choices, but in reality these can not realistically level the customer’s overall odds. This is brought about by the the betting establishment never repaying the full wager as hoped for. This modus operandi is frequently found in acclaimed casino games such as five-card stud poker, craps, roulette or blackjack.

Five-card stud poker is really a highly fashionable casino pastime. The gamesters, closely guarding their screened cards, bet into a pot in the center which is finally given to the last punter retaining the best combination of cards. (And as eveyone knows, the best bluffer may actually win too!)
Grand Mondial Casinos

Just like five-card stud, blackjack too is an incredibly fashionable casino game. Plenty of its reputation is due to its peculiar mix of luck and know how & choice making, not to forget a routine titled “counting”. This is a complex technique through which gaming aficionados can switch the arm of chance of the card game to lend them an advantage by both wagering & fundamental actions in correspondence with the hands shown.

“Craps” is another well-known gambling hall wagering game making use of the throw of 2 dice. Bettors may make bets on the result of 1 cycle, or on a sequence of cycles of two dice. Contrary to blackjack, there can’t be a possible bona fide winner betting system people could play on to improve the odds.

Roulette is another incredibly popular casino game of chance in which a croupier twists a roulette wheel which holds exactly 37 (as applicable to French roulette) or exactly 38 (as in American roulette) distinctively marked slots in which a ball will eventually come to rest, thus defining the final winning number and the other chances that come with it. Now if the gamer wagers on a single number and makes it, in other words it’s their lucky day, the set accolade will be thirty-five to 1, the original pledge will be given back. Hence in total the wager itself is increased by a factor of 36.

Keeping Sales Simple

For those of us working in the exciting world of sales, we are all too familiar with the pressures of meeting our daily, weekly, monthly, or quarterly goals. This pressure can sometimes cause us to loose focus on the simple things that made us successful to begin with.

When we make a sales presentation, it is all too essential to look and sound the part. A professional appearance and product knowledge are to very important ingredients involved in sales.

But don’t ever loose sight of the fact that sales is supposed to be fun!

A personal story . . .

I can remember a time a few years back, when I was managing a bank branch inside a supermarket, otherwise known as In-Store banking.

At that time, we had daily goals that we were required to meet, and those goals were unit and dollar driven. It was a fast paced environment and every technique we could think of was incorporated into our sales. Nothing was taken for granted.

Including the simple stuff.

One particular afternoon I received a phone call from a woman who informed me that she was new to the area, and she was shopping around for a bank.

We had a pleasant conversation, and I explained to her all of our products starting with our free checking, and ending with our more exclusive products.

Once the conversation was over, she thanked me and told me she would consider us.

I thanked her as well, and ended by telling her my name again, and that she could ask for me, if she decided to come in.

The next day, that same woman walked into my branch and asked for me, she reminded me of the conversation we had the day before, and than proceeded to tell me that she came in because I was so nice on the telephone.

The fact is, I was really nice on the telephone, I knew I had a potential customer on the phone and I killed her with kindness. Not because I was being slick, but because it was easy, it was simple, and I had fun doing it. And it worked.

There was no selling involved in that conversation. I was just being a nice person.

Salesmanship is important, but people want kindness to.

My point is, take some of the pressure off of yourself and start having fun! Be nice, smile. It is not always necessary to act and speak so professionally, it can come off fake, and worst of all boring. So starting tomorrow, take a load off, roll up your sleeves, smile, laugh out loud, and most of all have fun and keep it simple!

Images add pizzazz to your web site. You can make a web site more visually appealing and support your web content by providing a visual representation of your product.

Images also communicate a message. They can trigger feelings and emotions. Carefully selected, quality images that accurately support your sales copy will help to produce a positive response in your web visitors. More importantly, focused, high-quality web images will increase your sales! Quality graphics, like an overall quality web site, will inspire trust in you and your products.

Keep in mind that not just any image will be an improvement. In fact, if your choice of graphic images (photos, clipart, illustrations) is not properly focused and of high quality, then you could actually lose sales. Poor graphics will damage your credibility instead of boosting it. They suggest that you are not professional, your sales message is not to be trusted, and your product’s value will become suspect.

What kind of graphics should you add to your site?

Use unique graphics that represent your products and enhance your sales message. Here are some images that can do that.

*	A professional-looking header image at the top of your web pages. This is the first thing your web visitors (and potential customers) will see, and therefore is your first chance to make a good impression. *	An image representing your products. This can be an ebook cover, software box cover, or CD cover image. * An attention-grabbing order button to attract people to your order link. Including action verbs in your order buttons, like “Click Here to Order Now!” can increase sales. *	Turn navigation links into images and keep them consistent on every page. I also recommend that you provide text links in addition to the image links for search engine optimization. You can put the text links at the bottom of the page. *	Include your URL on each Web page to make it easier for people to go back to your Web site when printing or saving your Web pages. You can include your URL and copyright information in an interesting-looking footer image.

Don’t use too many images as this can have a negative affect. Too many images tend to distract the visitor which lessens the impact of your sales message. Use only enough images needed to support the focus of your site. The bottom line is: A few quality, focused images sell!

Taking a multi-vitamin everyday is a great way to supplement one’s diet. The various vitamins and minerals supplied add fuel to a healthy body. Some of those vitamins may play an even more important role when it comes to memory.

There have been studies that suggest that if a person has lower levels of some of the B Vitamins that they may be more prone to developing Alzheimer’s disease.

This is a frightening prospect for most people. The idea of slowly losing the ability to remember small details until it progresses into the inability to remember anything at all.

Tests conducted on some individuals who do suffer from Alzheimer’s have shown a lack of the B Vitamins in their bodies.

Therefore using that knowledge to improve the intake and absorption of the vitamin might slow down the progress of the memory loss and the onset of the ravages of the disease.

Taking a supplement rich in B Vitamins is one approach. There are several supplements available that a person can take daily to boost their Vitamin B intake resulting in a boost to their memory.

It’s best to consult with a health care professional who is familiar with the effects of Vitamin B on memory. They have the knowledge necessary to recommend a supplement that will provide the memory boosting benefits that the patient most needs.

However, taking a pill isn’t the only way to get more Vitamin B into your body.

There are certain foods that are rich in B Vitamins and offer the opportunity to boost your memory function in the most natural way.

If this is the approach then it’s as simple as incorporating specific foods into the diet that work towards building the memory.

Liver is a very good source of Vitamin B but many people have difficulty eating liver.

For those that do enjoy it, it provides a nutritious and easy method of helping combat the effects of memory loss with aging.

Salmon is another food that is rich in Vitamin B. With all the easy and delicious methods of preparing salmon it can become a staple in anyone’s diet.

Developing a common sense approach to using Vitamin B as a supplement to aid in memory function is relatively easy.

Depending on your tastes, if the foods rich in Vitamin B aren’t appealing, visiting your physician or a health food store and inquiring about a supplement is a wise decision.

Although it’s not common for individuals to lack Vitamin B within their bodies, it does happen. In fact it occurs more readily in elderly people which might account for the reason behind their feelings of forgetfulness.

By asking their physicians about the value of a supplement they might just be taking the first step to a renewed memory.

It can be disheartening to forget small details such as names or birthdays.

Having the ability to regain some of the confidence that comes with a strong memory is a way to renew your outlook. Vitamin B is a safe and efficient way to do that.

The average decision-maker has an attention span of just a little over seven minutes. I’m convinced that adult attention spans have been carefully programmed by network television, by the seven to eight minute time segments of entertainment, wedged between commercial breaks. On the other hand, the average sales presentation in the United States runs from one and a half to two hours in length. As a sales manager, you should easily figure out what’s wrong with this picture.

Those of you with complex products or services, or with large product lines may be saying to yourself, that it takes at least an hour to demonstrate all of the features and benefits of what it is you sell and another 20 to 30 minutes for questions and answers, right? Well, if you want more sales, help your staff to cut the length of their presentations down appreciably.

The $elling Edge®, Inc.’s Sales Success Strategies workshop, teaches a six-step selling process that can be completed, no matter how complex the product or service, in 30 minutes or less. We speed up the selling process, not only because of a decision-maker’s lack of attention , but more important, so that a sales professional can make more presentations in a given time period. And, the more presentations made over time, the more sales that are consummated.

You do the math. If a sales representative averages one and a half to two hours for each presentation as compared to an average of 30 to 40 minutes, how many more presentations can your staff make each year? How many more sales?

The six-step selling process, taught in the Sales Success Strategies workshops, is outlined in detail in a self-directed learning manual of the same name. You can learn more about it at: http://www.TheSellingEdge.com/manual1.htm

The matter of choosing between the operating system (OS) running the web server hosting your web site as old as the web hosting business.
The OS controls all the functions of the web server hosting your site, so it comes naturally to pay special attention when choosing one over another. But what are really the options you have?

Mainly you can choose between web hosting based on Windows, Linux or Unix operating systems. A brief description and analysis of the different systems will narrow the list of options to only two.

Microsoft’s Windows server operating systems (NT/2000/2003) have a rather friendly and familiar user interface, making IT teams to easier in this aspect. Another plus is given by it’s excellent integration capabilities with other applications developed by Microsoft and let’s face it their range is absolutely impressive. The main key point of Windows based hosting is its support for .ASP (Active Server Pages) or the advanced ASP.NET. This language for web development was created by Microsoft to facilitate the creation of dynamic web pages linked to SQL databases. It also provides capabilities for integration with other systems.

It can be said that Unix is the OS that powered the beginning of the Internet era and due to his qualities is still used today. Linux OS was developed having Unix as starting point and this is how the two share many features. Today the Linux version of the Unix system is more common on web servers and this has to do with the higher licensing costs and with the rather specific hardware requirements for Unix. This is why we will continue with Linux only, but Unix is taken into account as well. Linux hosting has its strong points in fulfilling one’s requirements for a good web server and Web serving, file serving, mailing, and streaming are only a few. It proves itself is a very cost-effective choice from using hardware efficiently, and allowing an increased web sites per server ratio, this ultimately resulting in a decreasing the cost of hosting per account.

So here are our two choices Windows and Linux.

Reliability

In the past Linux OS were seen as more reliable over Windows. However with the release of Windows 2003 server Microsoft has gone a long way and closed the gap in this area.
Linux servers are compatible with certain Microsoft extensions and applications and the same is true for Windows.

Web Programming

Even if trying to host a simple personal web site, your might want add some simple scripts to spice up your pages. The issue gets bigger when you are looking to host an e-commerce site supported by some serious server-side programming. So how are our two contenders doing in this aspect?

Supporting java scripts is not a topic to be argued upon as they are executed on the client side (the user’s web browser) and both Linux and Windows have no problem feeding this content to your visitors.

It is a whole different matter when discussing server side scripting. For web site owners trying to implement forms on their site it is common knowledge that ASP is supported by Windows and PHP is the tool to do just that under Linux. However both developed solutions to support each other’s programming language for web development. This support is not perfect and its limitations recommend Linux for a good PHP support and Windows for ASP, especially when it comes to hosting web sites that require the full use the advantages offered by PHP or ASP.

Linux offers a support for FrontPage extensions. Windows has a weak point in offering only limited CGI/Perl support, so if Perl is the scripting language of your choice, you should opt for Linux.

Databases

Dynamically driven web sites require some sort of databases. Beyond sites employing databases, most frequently you will encounter mySQL or MSAccess. If your web site is relying on mySQL, then you’ll have no problems hosting it on either Windows or Linux. For MSAccess databases, look your only option is Windows.

Price

Linux web hosting is cheaper. The reason must be searched in licensing costs, that are lower that for Windows, and in the ability of Linux web servers to support a higher web sites per server ratio without compromising the quality of service.

Although Windows hosting cost a bit more, you will get something for your money. It’s reduced development time and functionality

As the option of one over another depends basically of your actual needs and of the plans you have made for the future of your web site. For example will it move from a rather static web site to one relying heavily on server side scripting? And if it is so what would be the programming language used: PHP or ASP? Consequently your web site will be set up on a Linux or on a Windows web server.

Almost all serious web-hosting providers will offer you the choice between Linux and Windows.

There is no winner of this contest, at least not yet. In today’s terms, your preference of one system over another should be given only by your requirements and the needs of your visitors.

With ever-new technological advancements which consists of digital TV, Hi Definition Television, Freesat and home cinema audio, if you’re present telly machine is more than 5 years old, then it is a superb time to get a new TV. Nevertheless, as technology is developed near enough each day, acquiring a brand new telly set can be particularly hard & puzzling.

This guide endeavours to offers an insight on all the recent developments that will guarantee to take your telly pleasure to a splendid new level. John Lewis offers a collection of Flat Screen TVs from popular brands such as Sony and Panasonic.

High-Definition TV: Probably argued as one of the most significant improvement to the world of the TV since the creation of colour technology, High Def (HD) television offers detail, clarity and colour, with images normally 4 times as sharp as those from traditional TV sets. To watch the benefit from Hi Definition television programmes you have got to own a HD Ready television. Sky and Freesat have already begun to offer high-def TV meaning you can now get an array of your favourite programmes, films & sporting events with remarkable life-like images.

Built-In Digital Tuner: A television with built-in digital tuner (commonly referred to as idTV) permits you to get all free to air digital channels, including: E4, BBC3, Sky News and various more without the demand for a second set-top box.

Freesat: A new digital satellite TV service obtainable through a partnership between the BBC & ITV, supplying you free High-Def TV programmes at no added cost. Freesat has no weekly contract, no membership fee, just one solitary fee for the telly, satellite dish and installation. And because Freesat is broadcast via satellite, its accessible to nearly each and every household in the UK. Freesat TV is at this time only obtainable through Panasonic televisions.

LCD or Plasma Tellies: Though LCD and Plasma tellies work in very different ways, the advantages of both are particularly similar. But, it is key to consider that when deciding between a Plasma or LCD telly it’s actually only a question of size. LCD is at its best performance up to and including 32″ while Plasma televisions deliver greatest performance at thirty seven inches, and higher. Thus, if you want to purchase a smaller flat panel telly set, then (which stands for Liquid Crystal Display) provides the far better performance, in contrast if you need a bigger screen size, then Plasma is without a doubt the best option.

In evaluation its essential to bear in mind when picking the correct telly for you, to consider your available budget, your screening distance, the look you want & if it’s to be an LCD or Plasma television.

I did a teleconference a few weeks ago with people who were new in sales and new to prospecting. The focus of the call was to help participants get beyond fear and understand their prospecting process.

One of the participants on the call told me that she had been given the telephone prospecting script that her team leader uses to set appointments. The team leader was a highly successful sales professional who had been in the business for many years and made quite a lot of money. The participant, who had been in the business for approximately a week, told me that she was going to work with the script and “make it her own.”

“No!” I cried out. “Don’t do that! Don’t make it your own!”

My reasoning? This participant was a beginner. She knew nothing about sales or prospecting. She had a script that was crafted by someone who was highly successful on the telephone. This particular participant did not know enough to make it her own. More than likely, in making the script her own she would eliminate all of the powerful, persuasive and motivating language used by the sales super star who had given her the script.

Some words are better than others. Some words are stronger and more evocative than others. When you are on the phone with a prospect, you have about 10 seconds to grab and hold your prospect’s attention. If you do not do that within that first 10 seconds, your call is more than likely over. If you get through that first 10 seconds, that buys you another 10 seconds. If you get through that 10 seconds it buys you yet another… and so on… 10 seconds is not a lot of time. To get through those 10-second increments, you want to use the most powerful words that you have at your disposal.

If you are a beginner it is entirely possible, indeed even likely, that you may not be comfortable with certain powerful words or phrases. They may be very unlike your usual way of speaking. Even if you’ve been in sales for a while you might be set in your ways, accustomed to a certain delivery, and changing that might feel uncomfortable.

I’ve met many people who say they do not want to work with scripts because then they “cannot be themselves.” Remembering that your prospecting call happens in 10-second increments, you want to be the very best self that you can be, every time. That requires preparation.

One of the things that I’ve always loved about being inis sales is that it is crystal clear. You always know exactly where you are. You are either scheduling appointments, or you’re not. You are either closing, or you’re not.

If you are new to sales and a successful professional gives you their scriptdon’t change a word. That script will be your gold mine. If you’ve been in sales for a while and want to try out a new script, test it first. Your old script becomes your baseline. For example, make 30 prospecting calls using your usual script and keep track of the number of appointments that you schedule. Then make 30 more prospecting calls using your new script exactly as written. Keep track of the number of appointments that you schedule. At the end of those 60 calls you will know which script works better. That becomes your new baseline.
