What we’ve done through the practices that I offered in The Everyday Sanyasin, is we’ve begun to observe and see how these things form together and actually get in our way. And we used various techniques of breath, color, and imagery to begin to release us from the pattern, to release us from the entrapment.

Then in The Living Bardo series, we started off with Deity Yoga. We began to play in Deity Yoga with this wonderful, wonderful thing, which is absorbing and amplifying the Divine Qualities of manifestation that we want to live in our lives. We’ve been experiencing this and going, “Wow, this is so cool.” You know, the great example we have of this, because you’ve been so willing to do this, Bill, is the blue-green flames which offered you a sense of nurturance, ease of being, and peace amidst the dramatic, massive change that is the quality of Shiva.

To quickly summarize, we have worked at becoming aware of what we do on a ‘right-now’ basis. Then we’ve developed practiceslike breathing and creating new visualizations and chantingthat have allowed us to begin to not be bound to what we thought before was ‘objective’ reality, what we thought before was the binding nature of our fate. Then, as we got into The Living Bardo, we began to play with absorbing and amplifying qualities within ourselves and creatingliterally creatinga new objective reality in our lives. A reality, like we were saying earlier, in which I’m a good person. Manifesting in such a way that what I’m manifesting brings a smile to my face, and that smile radiates a goodness that everybody around me can feel. The example of this was that people will just come up to you and say, “Hi, I don’t know you, but it really feels good being around you.”

Masonic lodge tradition is failing in the United States and part of this is because the buildings are in a state of disrepair and many of the older gentleman who are running these groups are at the point where they will be dying soon and they do not have enough new blood in the group to carry them forward.

As much as they have considered the passing of the torch from the good old boy networks in many of the thousands of cities and towns in our nation it is obvious that the Masonic lodges are indeed in decay and disrepair. But why is this happening?

Well, it is happening because they misjudge the next generation and how to properly talk to them. It is happening because they wish to tell stories that are quite irrelevant to the next generation. It is happening because the Masonic lodge acts in secrecy and pretends to know some super secret. The up-and-coming generations have an inherent mistrust in large organizations and the governments.

The next generation is not interested in what the Masonic lodge has to say because they are tired of being lied to and simply Assume that when may talk to an older gentleman from the Masonic lodge that they are filling them full of BS. If the Masonic lodge tradition is not carried forward into the next generation, then it will fail.

They no longer have the political clout that they once had and the next generation perceives their tactics as underhanded, below society, secret trickery and rhetoric. The Masonic lodge tradition needs to adapt to modern times or they will pay the price of being passed by and become irrelevant to American society and civilization.

The Masonic lodge tradition needs new marketing if it is to survive. And for all you gentleman in the Masonic lodge don’t tell me I don’t know what I’m talking about, because I sure as hell do and you guys are screwing up and this might cause the end of a long tradition. You may have my advice if you wish it, but the ball is in your court now. Consider this in 2006.

Through my life I went through a number of years where I experienced tremendous loss, rejection and abandonment. At that time, my entire identity and sense of security came from 3 places, my faith and active church ministry which were deeply rooted and precious, my family and my music teaching career.

In the space of just a few months, my church and marriage simultaneously broke down. The parallels were uncanny. There was a power struggle within the church that released shocking ugliness and cruelty. The divisiveness within the church manifested an equally destructive force within my marriage, ultimately resulting in the utter destruction of both.

Suddenly, I had no husband, no home, no church family and since much of my clientele came from the church, I lost most of my business as well. By now, my identity was a single mom with two little boys, on welfare, homeless and with no faith whatsoever.

All of this trauma changed me from the inside out. Post traumatic stress, manic depression and anxiety all set in simultaneously. Fear became my only constant. Consequently, chronic insomnia caused by constant flashbacks and nightmares also took hold, and wouldn’t let go. My nightmares involved death, violence, and blood everywhere.

Interestingly enough, my therapist interpreted this as meaning that I believed that my spirit had been killed by my own choices and by others, and I now believed I was a dead soul inside of a living body. Before moving on, I must state with great conviction that my church related issues are not a reflection of most churches. My childhood home Church is a powerful venue of sincere teaching, worship and encouragement. The events of which I spoke were isolated to one institution.

After several years on my own with my kids, making ends meet any way I could, I did remarry.

Only after we were married did my new husband realize what he had gotten himself into.

The next 5 years that followed were a living hell for both of us I became irritable beyond belief, and I treated everyone around me like an enemy.

I would seclude myself for weeks at a time which forced me to stop working as well.

I became so addicted to benzodiazepines that I was taking 9 and 10 times the prescribed amount.

I displayed addictive behaviors which began to erode our finances and obsessive compulsive behaviors which my husband describes a “bizarre”.

My behavior was completely destructive to everyone around me and suicide looked like the most heroic action.

My depression and anxiety became so unbearable that it literally brought our marriage down to its last day. I was about to lose my marriage for a second time.

However, instead of walking away, my husband, Steve, became proactive and approached my psychiatrist himself with a complete list of behaviors that he had witnessed and concerns that he had about me.

Like many people who suffer from depression, I was basically providing my psychiatrist with selective information in order to obtain the drugs that made me feel a little better. I never really thought that there was any real value in seeing a psychiatrist for any purpose beyond that because I was convinced that there was no help for me. This was how I was going to spend the rest of my life.

Of course, I didn’t know it at the time, but Steve was already on his way out of this marriage. Instead, however, just when Steve was basically ready to walk away for good, he and I decided together that we were going to do whatever it would take to fix this problem.

Steve and I agreed that more drugs was not really the long term answer for me, and we decided to explore alternate directions to find healing.

Over the course of the next year, we worked with countless doctors, psychiatrists, psychologists, hypnotherapists, counselors, naturopaths and other experts.

We tried every pill, potion and concoction we could find, natural and medical.

We watched videos, listened to tapes, attended seminars, read books, had telephone consultations with “experts” and underwent many tests.

Although there was some relief with a combination of some of the things that we had tried, there was not enough relief to make life bearable for either of us, or our family and friends.

As you can imagine, all of this became pretty expensive.

We ran out of money, and so we cashed in all of our investments.

When that money was gone, we sold our house.

When that money was gone, we began going into debt.

When the debt reached almost $100,000, we were again, left without hope.

In the spring of 2004, however, my life changed forever! Through some connections that my husband had made via his internet businesses, we were able to learn from some of the world’s top minds on personal development. I exposed myself to a whole new world of possibilities by changing the way I was using my mind to manifest the results in my life.

During a weekend workshop in Montreal, Canada with John Assaraf, who is one of the world’s top experts on the brain and how it works, I was able to come to understand the role of our belief systems and our subconscious mind in our physical and mental health. By understanding how the brain works, and how the subconscious mind interacts with our bodies, I was able to learn how to reprogram my subconscious mind in order to manifest better mental health.

Although there was an instant change in me that day, I have been able to apply the information which I was taught in that workshop over the past 18 months and I have been able to completely change my life around. My belief system now serves and inspires me. I have given birth to new enthusiasm into my music teaching, and I incorporate my newly found revelations into the lessons to enhance and unleash learning and creativity. I am writing original music which soothes and uplifts the soul. I live each day in gratitude, happiness and faith.

My marriage, my family and my life have all been saved, and only now am I discovering the truths which allow me to become more than I ever thought possible, and definitely more than the sum of my experiences.

I now feel compelled to give back and help others.

I remember hearing a minister years ago as he quoted Dwight L. Moody. He said, “There are two types of religion in the world: Biblical Christianity…and all the rest.” Similarly, another minister I listened to later said, “The only two religions that exist in the world are Christianity and Hinduism…because Hinduism allows each man to find his or her own truth.”

A breed of ancient Jewish mysticism has recently resurfaced among the rich and famous, enticing those who are uninformed about the dangers of this cult. Madonna, who has given the Kabbalah Centre $18 million since 2001, Bette Midler, Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Marla Maples and Roseanne Barr (refer to http://radaronline.com/web-only/the-kabbalah-chronicles/2005/06/inside-hollywoods-hottest-cult.php for more Hollywood stuff on Kabbalah) have been studying what’s known as “the Kabbalah.”

There is now a growing interest in the Kabbalah around the world. TV’s 20/20 just aired an interview with the charming Berg family whose Kaballah Centre is raking in millions off sincere followers, most of whom sport a red thread around their wrists.

So, what is the Kabbalah? Where did it come from? How should the Church view the Kabbalah according to Scripture?

I located this definition on the web: Kabbalah: (Various spellings) meaning: “to receive.” Mystical Jewish teachings intermingled with teachings of gnosticism, Neoplatonism, magic and the occult were handed down by oral tradition. The word Kabbalah was coined by an eleventh century Spanish philosopher, Ibn Gabirol. The philosophy developed in Babylon during the middle ages from earlier Hebrew speculation and numerology. An early Kabbalist, Moses de Leon, developed and systematized the philosophy in his thirteenth century work, The Book of Zolar (sometimes spelled Zohar meaning “Splendor”).

The media is filled with references to Kaballah these days and, as they have with their warmed-over, Westernized verson of reincarnation, prominent Hollywood personalities are clambering to take hold of this feel-good, popular, contemporary version of Kabbalah. According to the Israeli-based Kabbalist, Michael Laitman, the discovery of the upper spiritual world is the single truly satisfying answer to the growing demands of the modern ego. A scientist by profession, Laitman claims that exposing youngsters of all backgrounds and religions to the authentic Kabbalah sources can significantly reduce the escalating phenomena of drug abuse and suicide in today’s society. The brief daily exposure to these texts is highly recommended for getting youngsters back on track toward fulfilling their true purpose in life.

We should find it quite strange to discover the occult practices of Kabbalah rooted deep within Judaism. The venerated Torah is loaded with many prohibitions against all forms of the occult expression. Read on and we will see how Kabbalah is loaded with occultism and an anti-Scriptural doctrine.

Judaism Redefined

After the destruction of the Temple in A.D. 70, having rejected Jesus as Messiah, Mosaic Judaism had a major problem. The Torah emphasized that “without the shedding of blood there is no remission of sins.” So, how could there be a continuation of the required blood sacrifices without an altar and a Temple? This, and other related issues, required a staff meeting. So, the Council of Jamnia was called in A.D. 90, and began, in essence, redefining Judaism, justifying their beliefs, essentially, and their reason for existence. This led to the formulation of the Talmud, the body of writings that seeks the interpret the civil law as well as the Law of God contained in Jewish Scripture), including commentaries on the Torah, or Pentateuch, and oral laws handed down through tradition. Among other things, the Talmud includes materials that concern decisions by Jewish scholars on disputed legal questions known as the Halakhah. Many examples and illustrations of the ethical, political, and religious principles involved in the laws are set down in the Haggada.

Now, two versions of the Talmud exist: the Jerusalem Talmud and the Babylonian Talmud. The Babylonian Talmud became authoritative because the rabbinic academies of Babylonia survived those in Palestine by many centuries. After the completion of the Talmud, the Halakhah continued to develop as rabbis adapted it to the changing times. The Haggada was also continually revised.

One of the most important parts of the Talmud is the Mishneh Torah. This was a compilation of all the rabbinical legal literature by various rabbinical commentators in existence at his time. Problems emerged when some Jews began veneration of the commentators over the text itself. People were focusing too much on the TEACHERS than their inspired TEACHINGS, much the same as some do today even within Christianity. It is simply the nature of people to do so.

Interestingly, in the 8th century, there arose a Jewish sect called the Karaites who clung to the strict interpretations of the Scriptures – let’s call them Fundamentalists – rejecting the Talmud and the rabbinical traditions that had been incorporated during the first six centuries. They were considered heretics by “Orthodox” Jews, and suffered persecution.

Here Kums the Kabbalah!

As was mentioned earlier, The Zohar was a monumental work composed by Spaniard Moses de Len, who lived in Guadalajara until 1290, before living the life of a wanderer. De Len was a prolific writer, completely immersed in mysticism. The Zohar, his greatest work, was written in Aramaic over a 30 year period. The doctrine taught in his book was deceptively credited by de Len to some legendary Palestinian scholar, Shimon ben Yohai, claiming that a Spanish-Jewish scholar and mystic named Moses ben Nahman had found the book in a cave in which Shimon and his son had found refuge from Roman persecution. When Moses tried to send ben Yohai’s important teachings to his son in Catalonia, de Len claims he intercepted it and began making copies, which he then circulated among the more educated folk.

De Len failed in this attempt to deceive the world and hide the fact that he was its actual author. In his own lifetime a Palestinian mystic who doubted the authenticity and antiquity of the Zohar, investigated the matter. De Len finally promised to produce the original, but died before the matter was settled. One must always closely examine the founder’s background when investigating any philosophical or religious movement. In this case, the author was a deceiver. His Zohar depicted God as merely a powerful force that one should aspire to obtain. De Leon taught that God is the unknowable, immutable Ein-Sof (Infinite “Nothingness”). From this philosophy sprang the Kaballah, the name of an occult theosophy that developed among Jews in Babylonia, and later Italy, Provence, and Spain, between the sixth and thirteenth centuries A.D.

The doctrine they taught was that heavenly revelation was received by enlightened Jews, and was passed on to succeeding generations through oral tradition. At first it was used by the mainstream of Judaism, but eventually it became identified with those who believed that the Kabbalah was an esoteric, occultic tradition that explained the true meaning of the Hebrew Scriptures, which was kept hidden from the masses and only made known to those who were spiritually ready to receive it.
Typically, Kabbalah is divided into two systems: theoretical and practical. The theoretical is concerned with theosophical speculation upon God and His attributes. The practical is concerned with bringing what has been theorized into the realm of everyday experience. This is attempted through prayer, ascetic practices, and the employment of various occult means, such as numerology, talismans, amulets, and incarnation of divine names and words.

One Kabbalah belief is that Scripture is inspired, not only in its obvious interpretations, but even to the degree that, through the use of occult symbol interpretation, one could find hidden meaning in the very numerical and alphabetical interpretation of the texts. Thus, the doctrine of the Kabbalah was derived through study of the Old Testament, but only when occultic interpretative techniques were utilized.

To give you an historical perspective, Kabbalah grew out of two basic needs in the Jewish consciousness. First, because they had rejected their Messiah, God temporarily rejected the Jewish nation (Luke 13:35), and so, in the centuries that followed, there were no prophets and no immediate manifestation of God’s presence among them. This left them feeling that God was far removed from them and made them more prone to be influenced by the philosophical climate of the people in whose lands they dwelt. This included Greek; Neo-Platonism and its “Christian” offshoot, Gnosticism. These philosophies had a very transcendent view of God: He is infinite and far removed from any conceivable contact with man. As the Jews embraced increasingly transcendent view of God, they needed to reconcile this with the traditional Hebrew belief in the accessibility of God to man. This need seemed to be met best through the doctrine of the Sefirot, the attributes or “emanation” of God, the groundwork of which had already been laid by the Gnostics, and Philo of Alexandria, a Jewish philosopher and contemporary of Christ.

The second reason for Kaballah’s emergence was that, by around the twelfth century, Talmudic legalism, ritualism, and intellectual slavery had reached its peak. Kabbalah became popular because it opened up an approach to religion that seemed more pleasurable, immediate, and less confining.

The Kabbalistic belief is that God, or “Ein Sof,” is infinite and transcendent, and can make no direct contact with finite beings like us. We came into existence when the Ein Sof voluntarily limited Himself by allowing Himself to become manifest through attributes or “emanation” (the Sefirot), listed as: Crown, Wisdom, Intelligence, Greatness, Strength, Beauty, Firmness, Splendor, Foundation, and Sovereignty. Each emanation would be further removed from the Ein Sof, and thus further from His perfection and transcendence. The Sefirot would be repeated on four different levels, and these realms, according to descent, were called: “Atziluth” (the world of the supernals, or heavenless), “Briah” (the world of creation), “Yetzirah” (the world of formation), and “Assiah” (the world of material action). Taking on a personal form, these Sefirot, as angels, served as intermediaries between God and man.

In this theosophy, the Sefirot are viewed as archetypes for everything in the world of creation, an understanding of their workings make clear to the seeker the inner workings of the universe and all of history. The concept is that the Zohar provides a cosmic-symbolic interpretation of Judaism, and of the history of Israel, in which the Torah and commandments – as well as Israel’s life in exile – become symbols for events and processes in the inner life of God. Interpreted in this way, the proper observance of the commandments by man takes on a cosmic significance.

That’s it. From the get-go, the concept of Ein-Sof was a tragic attempt to depersonalize God. After all, no one can relate to an unknowable force. On the other hand, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob IS a knowable, personal God who rejoices over His children with singing and longs to bless them. Jesus said, “When they see me, they’ve seen the Father.” Jesus showed humanity the character and nature of God in the flesh. One author writes, “…any attempt to chart the “inner life” of the Godhead, by means of the Sefirot or any other, is akin to “uncovering the Father’s nakedness,” a sin of grave disrespect emphasized in the Tenach itself!”

The disciplines of Kabbalah include meditative practices that promise to enable individuals to share and participate in the diverse dimensions of God’s being. Kabbalistic discipline was also limited to the elite who were highly educated in the texts of Talmudic Judaism prior to their immersion in Kabbalistic studies. Kabbalistic communities soon developed (not unlike today’s Kabbalh Centre), generally organized as secret societies of disciples that gathered around a specially gifted mystical teacher (Tziddik). Such communities soon spread all over Europe with increasingly broad appeal among learned Jews – the rich and famous wannabee’s, if you will. As the Berg’s stated during their 20/20 interview, even though one may not even read Hebrew, the very act of merely LOOKING at the Kaballah will command a blessing!

What should be the Christian response to Kabbalah?
There are many other aspects of Kabbalah that one can search out on this subject to expose the errancy of this theosophy. Don’t waste your time…read your Bible instead. I can hear an old friend of mine saying, “Let the Kabbalah movement grow! Its followers will ultimately come up empty. Finding that it leaves them wanting, we, The Church, must be there to show them unconditional love of Jesus. THAT is all they were ever looking for in the first place!”

Prayer is the greatest response to the “Kabbblah Kraze.” In today’s occult revolution where every dimension of the occult is being explored, there has been a revived interest in Kabbalah among both Jew and Gentile. Yes, its Jewish origin makes it unique, but Kabbalah is still essentially an occultic practice, and is thus incompatible with the Judaeo-Christian faiths. Its Pantheistic theology teaches that all reality springs directly from God’s own essence. Even if one believes that these emanations from God’s essence have gone through a descent of ten spheres on four different levels, the conclusion is inescapable that even he who is on the lowest level is still of one essence with God; and thus, ultimately, that individual IS God. This belief is nothing short of Pantheism.

Pantheism is a concept that is incompatible with the biblical concept God, who created the world out of nothing, not out of Himself. In Genesis 1:1, the Hebrew word for “create” is “bara,” referring to something coming out of nothing. Genesis 1:1 debunks Pantheism, the belief that God is IN the creation and IS the creation. God is the tree? He is the rock? He is the building? He is the air? Pantheism holds that God permeates, and, therefore, IS all.

I recall a debate with a believer in Pantheism where I asked him if God was in those bird droppings on the fence before us. I believe I heard his mental wheels come to a screeching halt for a moment. “Come now,” I said, urging him not to check his brain at the door, “your beliefs are either absolutely true in all instances or they aren’t true at all.” Pantheism, for those who aren’t aware, is a non-biblical world view. The concept is, basically, that only the spiritual dimension exists. Pantheists refer to the perception of material reality as maya, which means illusion. Some Pantheistic religions include Hinduism, Buddhism and Taoism. Pantheism also forms the basis for Transcendental Meditation and some aspects of New Age mysticism. It should not be confused with believing that God is omnipresent. God IS omnipresent. He is everywhere at once. David could say, “…if I ascend up into heaven, thou (God) art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there,” (Psalm 139:8). But God is NOT the created world. In fact, He is completely EXTERNAL to the created world. Worship belongs to the Creator, not His creation. Paul tells us in Romans 1:25 that there will be those “Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator….”

God is related to the world as a sculptor is related to his sculpture, or as an artist is related to his painting, and I am related to this message on my computer screen right now. The sculptor is not the sculpture. The artist is not the painting. The writer is not the writing. The sculpture, painting, and writing are productions. They are produced by the One that creates, and what one creates, can be created again. Perhaps it will be different or it may be better.

God is infinite; He existed before the world existed. He still exists, co-existing with the universe and allowing you and me, through Christ Jesus, to become co-laborers with Him for we ARE seated with Him in heavenly places. That’s present tense. The universe is finite, having a very definite beginning and ending. The universe will end. Scientists reckon that the sun will shine about five million more years. Then in a great burst of energy, it will swell up, engulf and consume the planets before shrinking into a white dwarf. They claim the sun will eventually burn itself out, and the whole universe will come to a great cataclysmic end. God only knows. The Bible says that heaven and earth WILL pass away (Matthew 24:35). It also states, “…the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, …the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up,” (2 Peter 3:10). 1 Timothy 6:16 says that “the Lord only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto.”

God created everything just by speaking it into existence. It was not difficult. He’s God, you know. “Let there be light and there was light” (Genesis 1:3). Poof! “Let the waters bring forth and they brought forth, Let the earth bring forth and it brought forth” (Genesis 1:20,24). Poof! God was not put to a test to make the universe. Some say, “Mankind was a more difficult product!” God formed Adam out of the dust of the ground; we must not have been TOO tough. Like a mud pie maybe. Poof! He took a rib from Adam’s side, spoke a word, and turned it into a woman. Poof! That was not hard for God. This whole creation was not such a magnificent production where God was concerned. To us, it is absolutely unfathomable. With just a little word, it all came to be. It was really easy for the Creator. Genesis1:31declares that in six days, it all came to be, simply through spoken words.

Imagine having that kind of an all-pwerful Creator God handling your measely, temporal problems! He WANTS to!

Finally, my brethren…

Although Kabbalists’ insistence upon the inspiration of Scripture in its literal form was commendable, their carrying this point to the extent of seeking to find hidden meaning in its numerical arrangements was just plain unnecessary. Logically speaking, couldn’t we apply Kabbalistic methods to almost any piece of literature and draw almost any interpretation from it? “Green eggs ‘n Ham” by Dr. Seuss might take on a profound new meaning! Their method of interpretation is neither acknowledged in the Bible, nor justified by it. The application of this method to the Bible have produced interpretations that are not supported by Scripture, and, in fact, produced something directly opposed to it.

To any Christian individuals considering the Kabbalah, I would say this: In the words of author Chick Missler, “Recognize that your adventure as a student is unfinished. “Now we see through a glass darkly; then, face to face.” Like a giant jigsaw puzzle, each piece takes its significance in how it fits in among those already in place. Forcing it only causes distortions. Withhold judgment until all the key pieces are in place.”

You may be dissatisfied or disillusioned with your most holy Chrsitian faith but, as my wise ol’ mom used to say, “You get out of it what you put into it.” Are you studying the Scriptures daily? Fellowshiping with strong believers? Praying? And if you’re praying, what is the Spirit saying? Are you listening to His still, small voice? As a disciple, are you practicing the disciplines of the faith, following the examples and studying the teachings set by Christ Himself? If not, then it’s no wonder Christianity is leaving you hungry. The delicious banquet has been set before you…but no one’s going to force you to partake.
Remember the wise counsel of Paul: “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ,” Colossians 2:8.

Yes, Beware!

Bottom line: Kabbalah is a mystical, spiritual teaching that emphasizes secret knowledge (old-fashioned gnosticism, addressed by Paul in Colossians, that’s still around today). This secret knowledge stands in direct opposition to the way God communicates plainly with us through His Word. “Kabbalah uses animistic principles of superstitious practices to attempt to exert control over the world: numerology, talismans, amulets, and incarnation of divine names and words,” to quote from an article on Kabbalah by the Christian Research Institute.

Currently, the Kabbalah is spreading like wildfire, consuming disenchanted Jews, Christians and Celebs in its wake as many, if they are not abandoning their traditional faith all together, are trying to create some sort of hybrid faith by using a smorgasbord technique.

When the people hear,”Thou Shalt Not”, they say ,”Why Not.” They become offended by the word and everything that deals with the truth. They become offended by prophecy, not only of the old days but also of these end times. Curses that God has placed on nations will be fulfilled before the curses are lifted.

Sin is sin, no matter what we think. We were all in the bondage of sin and Satan at one time or another, but we that believed that the only way was thru Jesus, came into the knowledge of truth and accepted it. Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves = (This expression here denotes, preserve yourselves from the influence, opinions, and fate of this generation) from this untoward = (1. Froward; perverse; refractory; not easily guided or taught.
2. Awkward; ungraceful.) generation.

It means “perverse,” “willful,” “crooked,” and is so translated in Revised Version: “this crooked generation” Why do many become offended by the truth, why do many reject the idea that there is a judgment coming upon all that refuse to believe, why do you think that mankind cannot see the death and destruction all about them.

We are seeing the blind leading the blind, in government and in religion. ” Its in other places, we have food, we have shelter, we have money, we have all we need.” ” Leave us alone to our life, we are not hurting anyone.” The state of this world was developed by mankind in his search for a utopia. Man had two choices, especially in these end days,
1. To Become Rich and
2. Feed the poor and helpless. They have chosen to become rich. The thought that they must give so that others could live is beyond reason for many. Mans Idea of helping, is to wait for a cause then step out and give, Jesus told us not to wait but seek out those that were hungry and poor and destitute.
The corruption of many charitable organizations is obvious and the countries that are receiving the aid are squandering it, and the poor still suffer. 1John 3:17 But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

We have become a world of watered down religion. Seeking all the good things in this life and not wanting to recognize all the bad that comes alone with it. Gods word is not a word of compromise, it never has been and never will be. Many are offended by its truths and graphic depiction of the end days.
Fire, Flood, Petulance, Famines, Earthquakes, War.
In Matthew 16:3-4, Jesus stated; “And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times?

A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas.” And he left them, and departed.

People once said of World War 1,” This is the end Days.” They said it about World War 2, They said it about the black plague and other events, but this was only the beginning. All these events from our past and present are bringing in the end times. Ask yourself this question, How much food is left that will be able to be eaten, how much more will this earth be able to produce with its bounding population, how much longer will the air be fit to breath or the water be fit to drink, how much longer will the oil or coal last before it runs out, 100, 200, or 300 years? How many more diseases will mankind face without a cure?
How much longer will it be before terrorist have a Nuclear weapon and start using it?
Then what? Its not one individual incident that brings out the truth of prophecy, as it is not one event that brings out the truth of a curse. It a combination of prophecy, a combination of events, actions, times and hafe times, that brings out the truth. As all these things begin to happen, out comes the scoffers, the skeptics, here comes the scientist.

To the Christians I say, “Prophecy must be Fulfilled.” To the un-believer I say,” Prophecy will catch you asleep.” Prophecy of future events? {Romans 8:35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?} and what about { Rev 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.} Can we stop, persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword(War), hatred?

No. But we must prepare ourselves and others. For in the end, no man will be with excuse, not to have known what was approaching. There laughter will be turned to tears and joy to anguish. Do we forget about compassion on those that suffer? No. If we did, then how could the Love of God dwell within us? Can we help all men who suffer?
No. Why? Bible Prophecy, Gods word of future events will take place. Then you ask, “Is then not God unrighteous, in allowing these things to occur?” No. For it is not God that is causing these things to take place but mankind is the unrighteous. Gods prophets are just reporting the future state of mans compassion on his fellow man. Man desired, and still does, to have a freedom of choice and God allows him to have his desire.

2Pe 3:3-4; Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.

Heb 5:2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity.

[Heb 5:2 Who can(Greek, "being able"; not pleasing himself ) have compassion(Greek, "estimate mildly," "feel leniently," or "moderately towards"; "to make allowance for") on the ignorant(sins not committed in resistance of light and knowledge), and on them that are out of the way(not deliberately and altogether willfully erring, but deluded through the fraud of Satan and their own carnal frailty and thoughtlessness. jfb); for that he himself also is compassed with infirmity(The Preacher).]

Look at the world around us, Famines all about, Africa, Nigeria, India, Philippens, Aisa, Earthquakes, Japan, Pakistan, can we feed all that are in need, can we have compassion one toward another, can we save the lives of countless children dieing each day? No. Mankind is not able to do any of these things, for it was mankinds rejection of the truth and of righteousness that was the centering cause of all this.

Acts 2:40 And with many other words did he testify and exhort, saying, Save yourselves from this untoward generation. Is society today become an untoward generation, or , A wicked and adulterous generation ? Yes. Order? this untoward generation? – Untoward: “Perverse, refractory, not easily guided or taught” (Webster).
The same character our Saviour had given of that generation in Mat-11:16-19. This character they had shown uniformly. this is the same character that this world is displaying today, nation against nation, peoples against peoples, sons and daughters rebelling against the parents. They are smooth, cunning, plausible; but they are corrupt in principle, and wicked in conduct. Our courts have become a play ground for special interest groups, turning the truth into a lie.

Trying to justify themselves with the law. (Barnes states; The Pharisees had a vast hold on the people. To break away from them was to set at defiance all their power and doctrines; to alienate themselves from their teachers and friends; to brave the authority of those in office, and those who had long claimed the right of teaching and guiding the nation. The chief danger of those who were now awakened was from that generation; that they would deride, or denounce, or persecute them, and induce them to abandon their seriousness, and turn back to their sins.
And hence, Peter exhorted them at once to break off from them (The world), and give themselves to Christ.)

We may hence learn
1. This generation is becoming as those of the times of the Pharisees, wanting not to sway away from instruction of those that they deem are in full knowledge of Gods Laws for fear of being persecuted and alienated.
2. Following after every wind and doctrine that comes along, offering a better and easier way. You are not born saved, as you are not born into any religion, you must accept Christ and be born again.
Hear the Word of God, take what Peter said to heart; “Break off from them, and give themselves to Christ.”

Biblical scholars have been claiming for the last 25 years various statements and biblical quotes in attempts to determine if and when the events indicated in Revelations will occur. Everyone has had a different theory and timeframe. Now, due to the newly revealed bible codes, they are all in agreement (even the skeptics) and it’s not fiction like in the Davinci code. This is both exciting and spine-chilling at the same time. The end times may really be near this time – and this isn’t a joke!

There are instances that we cannot explain like why the first five books of the Torah, which were given to Moses were sequential – no spaces, punctuation, etc… and it has been passed down for more than 3000 years to keep it that way. Revelations hints at a secret book that will be revealed in the end times. Could these new codes be the “secret book” that spells out the past, present and future? These ideas of a secret code originated in Israel with Jewish scholars. Some famous Israeli mathematicians created computer programs to create matrix patterns and look for hidden codes in the original Hebrew and Greek texts. What they found was nothing short of amazing. They found Hitler, Saddam Hussein, the assasination of J.F.K., they may even have found damning evidence that World War 3 is soon to be and that the events in the book of Revelations have already started.

These findings were done by computer and intelligence code breaking experts. They established that the odds against finding these hidden codes were over 10 million to 1! They found “world war” and linked it to our years 2006. They found a massive earthquake linked to Japan in 2006. This is actually mentioned in the Bible in Ezekial 38:19 as there will be a great earthquake when Israel is divided. Could this be that earthquake and will it be this year? These new revelations could be prophecy of what is soon to come and it is both amazing and shocking. This is coming from the bible and it all matches and even the skeptics agree that there is something to this.

A leading researcher Roy Reinhold states “My calculation of world war 3 beginning right after the abomination of desolation on January 31, February 1 2006, meets the test of reasonableness with regards to the prophetic word.” The abomination of desolation is when the antichrist takes his seat in the Temple of God and declares himself as God – the ultimate abomination to God. This then starts world war 3. All the events surrounding this are coming true – a European superpower, terrorism with dirty biological weapons – there is a matrix on the codes that brings out anthrax as a possible source of many deaths. This is both fascinating and scary as hell. The world as we know it could forever change and fast. Its all in these codes – economic ruin, earthquakes, world war 3, the worst death toll in history, Russia joining in against America, etc… If you want to know more there are numerous books on the various matrices of the bible codes, articles, etc… all over the internet. Just look up bible code in your favorite search engine. It might just make an atheist religious just to know the possibilities of what may be lying ahead in our near future.

Earthlings are the laughing stock, the comedy channel of the Universe. This disagreement over the successor to Jesus has led to countless wars and murders and raping and pillaging of innocent Christian men, women and children. It is so easy to see insanity in others but impossible to see it in ourselves. Yesterday my friend Isabelle attended a Hermes scarf club luncheon. One woman brought 30 of her 400 $500 Hermes scarves for show and tell. The Hermes head scarf is $5,000. The female Miami stevedores love their new uniform, burkas. The Jebusites and the Hittites are making a comeback at Disneyworld, which was recently purchased by the House of Saud aka the BarbJennaBush Development Corporation. Who needs screenwriters when truth is stranger than fiction?

So, what separates Sunni Muslims from Shiite Muslims other than their battle for the power, control and oil of Iraq? Well, the Prophet Muhammad lived about 1,400 years ago on a planet 5 billion years old with human skeletons named Lucy 4 million years old. A Prophet is a person, like Joshua Goldfarb, who speaks to God and gets the game plan. Today he would either be a schizophrenic undergoing electro shock therapy and a lobotomy or a best selling author. The Prophet Muhammad could not read or write, and he did not speak directly to God of Mount Sinai, aka Allah, God the Father, The Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ, Adonai, Yehovah, Elohim, Hashem, etc. Instead he spoke to the same Angel Gabriel who brought the good news to the Virgin Mary aka Mirriam Goldstein that God the Father had impregnated her with his Holy Spirit and she was about to give birth to the Messiah immaculately.

The Prophet Muhammad had a scribe, and he dictated his prophecies to the scribe and 50 years after the Prophet died the Muslim Bible Writers came up with the Muslim Holy Scriptures: The Hebrew Old Testament, The Christian New Testament and the Koran. Perhaps they did not notice that in the Old Testament it says that the Messiah will kill every non Jew and the Christian New Testament says that the Messiah will kill every non Christian upon his arrival on a flying white horse from Heaven.

So, what separates Sunni Muslims from Shiite Muslims? God of Mount Sinai, in his very first commandment carved by Him personally in stone says, “Do not worship, bow down to or idolize or revere anyone on Earth.” The Muslims revere the Prophet Muhammad as the Christians revere the Prophet Jesus as the Jews revere Knicks tickets and corned beef sandwiches on rye with kimel, Jesus’ favorite dish. The Prophet Muhammad had a son in law named Ali ibn Abi Talib aka Imam Ali. The Shiites believe that he was the leader of Islam after Muhammad, the proper successor to Muhammad, and follow his heirs. The Sunnis do not. They believe that the true successor of Muhammad was his lieutenant Abu (father of) Baker. Bob Dole is a UAE port lobbyist. Prior to Jesus usurping power from the Roman Gods and Goddesses upon his election as God at the Council of Nicaea 300 years after his death, the Roman Empire and the Greek Empire worshipped their own Gods and Goddesses including the Greek Goddess of Love Aphrodite renamed Venus by the Romans. I’m your Venus, I’m your fire, I’m your desire.

In the fairy tale, Uranus was castrated by his son Cronus. Jesus, the Prince of Peace says, “I have not come to bring you Peace, but the sword, to turn son against father..”. Uranus’ severed testicles fell into the sea and fertilized the ocean water which began to bubble and from the concoction was born an 18 year old naked Goddess Aphrodite. Jesus never said the word Hell in his life. Every time he says Sheol or Gehenna in the Holy Bible the modern Bible Writers substitute the word Hell to scare the Hell out of every Christian child. Fear and guilt are the classic brainwashing techniques. Gehenna was where the Jewish and non Jewish people sacrificed their first born children alive on fire altars 2,500 years ago just south of Jerusalem. Sheol was the place underground where both the good and the bad spirits went to live together after death according to Jesus Christ in the original Greek manuscripts of the New Testament.

According to the Shi’a Muslims depictions of Muhammad are verboten. According to the Sunni Muslims they are allowed. This controversy stirred up by the cartoon is the root of the now exploding Iraq civil war. Cartoons are a form of art as old as hieroglyphics and paintings by our ancestors on cave walls. After the last American Civil War there were cartoons of carpetbaggers being hung from trees and donkeys branded with the emblem KKK. The triple K’s were disgruntled Americans from the southern states numbering in the millions who crucified blacks, Jews and Catholics and set the crosses on fire less than 200 years ago. Our ancestors were sadistic and masochistic freaks and we are their clones. Don’t worry because soon it will all be over.

The only thing on Earth that sells better then sex is the right to commit murder and the Religions have the market cornered. Islam rewards the murder of Christians and Jews with eternal paradise in Heaven with God and 72 virgins, crystal clear springs and unlimited wine with no side effects. (Koran Sura 9:29-30, Sura 56). Jesus is soon returning to throw all of the non Christians into the fire and to Rapture the Christians into Paradise for doing this for him. (Matthew 13:36-43). The Jewish Messiah is coming soon to smash every non believer into a million pieces like a potter’s vessel and conquer the world for the Jews. (Psalm 2). Every single nuclear scientist knows that nuclear world war III and its aftermath nuclear winter then ultraviolet summer will have zero survivors. The only way for us to survive is through world peace. The Temple of Love – The World Peace Religion, makes Peace among and unites Christianity, Islam, Judaism and everyone else by tying them together with their common threads and resolving all of their differences once and for all. The problem is that selling Peace to bloodthirsty Earthlings massacring innocent children because fairy tales command them to is like trying to teach great white sharks not to eat fish. At least they don’t eat pork.

Today we are living in a time when the family is under great attack, the rate of divorce is just as great in the church as outside the church. So many families are broken and need to be healed and restored, many going for years trying to figure out what is wrong and too embarrassed to ask for help.

God designed the perfect plan for the family, but if the family you were born into is dysfunctional, the plan was not implemented. God’s plan has always been for the fathers and mothers to teach their children the ways of the Lord. The home should be a divine school where God’s Word and Godly principles are taught and lived out on a daily basis. The parents are responsible for establishing a standard for righteousness, a standard for what is right and what is wrong.

Where do you start? Start with love. God is love; therefore, the ways of God cannot be learned apart from the love of God; His ways will appear to be just a set of rules. However, a home where love is present is the perfect environment for a child to learn God’s ways. A home that is in alignment with the ways of God is a home that is blessed.

So, to come into alignment for the full blessings of God, we must come into agreement with Him and learn His ways. When a family has the love of God, even the laws of God will be viewed and embraced as guidelines that ensure God’s blessings. We keep His commandments because we love Him. He, in turn, blesses us because He loves us.

Just as there are laws in the land to keep us safe, there are spiritual laws that God has set to keep us safe. Psalms 74:17 tells us, “It was You who set all the boundaries of the earth….” However, unlike the laws of the land, we are always subject to spiritual laws and will always pay the consequences for breaking those laws.

Spiritual laws are much like natural laws. Take gravity; if a pencil is thrown into the air, it will fall to the ground every time. Just so with a spiritual law – break it and the devastating consequences must be paid, every time. This is true if we believe in God’s laws – or if we don’t. In fact, it is Satan’s aim to destroy families by destroying the belief in the absoluteness of God’s laws.

The following four spiritual laws are keys that will restore any family:
The Law of Honoring
Deut. 5:16 “Honor your father and mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with you on the land which the Lord your God gives you.” (Ps. 119:1-3; Ps. 19:7-10; Eph 6:2)
To dishonor our parents will bring trouble to our own lives.

The Law of Judging
Matt. 7:1-2 “Do not judge lest you be judged. For in the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.”
We judge another because we see in them (speck) what we have in our life (log). When we pass judgment on the speck we are also condemned for the log.

The Law of Reaping
Gal. 6:7 “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.”
A man reaps what he sows. Sow bitterness, you reap bitterness. Sow anger, you reap anger. Sow joy, you reap joy. Whatever you sow, you will reap. This is much like the natural law: For every action there is an equal but opposite reaction.

The Law of Increase
Hosea 8:7 “For they have sown the wind and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk: the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.” (Gal 6:7)

We sow the wind and reap the whirlwind. If bad seed is sown and not immediately unearthed, years later it will produce an entire crop of devastating consequences.

Missions to unreached people have been popping up in our culture long ago. Many who have a desire to do missions to unreached people want to become educated on these particular groups but might not know where to begin. Others who are interested in missions to unreached people might want to discover some type of training that will help equip them for this line of ministry. The question is, where would one who is interested in missions to unreached people begin their search?

Many times those who are interested in missions to unreached people seek out some type of training. This can come in the form of schooling and discovering what types of classes would aid in this process. The desire in these peoples’ hearts for missions to unreached people might have begun as a small child. Maybe their parents were missionaries to the remote parts of Africa. Maybe they were use to being in a country that differs greatly from ours and wanted to continue in their parents’ footsteps. Maybe their parents’ job was to try and reach these people groups by learning their language, about their culture, and about what they believed. Maybe their parents had a hearts for missions to unreached people and passed the desire along to their children.

So here you are that child who is now grown. You are still holding on to that desire that your parents passed on. You find yourself back in the United States and want to become equipped to do the type of ministry your parents do. What kind of training will you need to seek in order to do missions to unreached people? Maybe starting with looking at a Bible college would be your best bet. These types of schools make it a priority to focus on missions and can help you learn the necessary skills to do missions to unreached people groups. They can provide you with classes that focus on evangelism and theology. Some of their professors might even be familiar with the mission field you were raised on and can show you how to communicate with those who are not familiar with the English language. In addition to that, one of your internships might be to pair up with a Christian organization that focuses solely on missions to unreached people.

Once you get connected with one of those Christian organizations, the real work begins. You have your training and have the head knowledge to work with missions to unreached people. The next step is to learn all you can about the unreached people group you might be sent to. You may be the very missionary sent out who discovers a new group that has never been known. What a fantastic opportunity fit would be for you to be involved with the missions to the unreached people of that area.

One-on-one mentorship takes place between a designated mentor and an individual. Mentorship can occur at formal meetings or informal meetings, but are usually private conversations. I suggest that all mentors receive approval from the church and ongoing training. If 20% of the church body mentors all 100% of the church body, then each mentor has 5 mentorship relationships–4 with people who are the 80% that are not mentors, and 1 with another mentor (insure that all of the mentors also have a mentor!)

The purpose of this type of mentorship is to shepherd the flock one at a time. The successful connection in mentorship is made when someone’s life is positively changed in Christ’s name due to the one-on-one mentorship journey. The advantage of this type of connection is that it builds into the individual and mentor, making them both better for the experience
