The standard pattern for thinning hair in boys is the receding hair line on the forehead that shows an m shape. The crown of your head can also start to become thin and become finer. Thinning hair in patches does not tend to happen in chaps.
Human hair grows on average one and a half inch every two months, every human hair strand will last around 2 to 6 years and then drops out. Once your bloke’s hair drops out a regenerated hair strand takes its place on your head. With male pattern baldness once your man’s hair falls out the hair doesn?t grow back.
Each strand of hair sits in a follicle in your scalp, over the course of time the strand in men will often tighten and result in finer hair on your head or no hair at all. The reason for genetic hair loss is still not known and might be related to hormones or DNA. Although the strand will probably tighten they are still capable of growing hair if treated. What Incredible Treatments Will Often Help to Prevent Loss of Hair in Chaps - Comments Off
The most depressing part of a receding hair line for blokes is that there is no cure. Baldness has been a great problem for lads in the United Kingdom but there are excellent things that might stop further loss of hair.
There is a topical treatment for baldness called Minoxidil that may be taken in capsule or lotion form and might well help blokes regrow their hair and reduce further hair loss. The hair loss lotion comes in a variety of strengths with five percent being the most popular. The treatment is used under the supervision of a trained professional and should be made aware that the baldness treatment is not a fascinating miracle cure. However, the marvellous success of this loss of hair treatment is around 60 percent. The hair loss treatment medication course is a minimum of 2 months before magnificent results will often show and all ladies are recommended to continue the hair loss treatment for at least seven months. Hair Loss treatments are available from Advanced Hair Studio.
For men that don?t observe any hair growth with the hair loss treatment they will try hair plugs. Hair loss surgery is a permanent solution and involves moving the hair follicles on the scalp to prevent bald areas. Hair transplants can be costly and involves a medical procedure so may not be for every guy.
Data Recovery Tips - Comments Off
Looking for the best data recovery software can be a real nightmare when you have just lost, seemingly irretrievably, much of your work. But if you don’t panic and look carefully for the best solution, than very often it is possible to retrieve much if not all of your lost data. There are many software packages out there that can help with this process as long as you take the correct steps initially The right software can enable you to not only retrieve files that you have unintentionally deleted, but also, in some cases, data that has been lost due to a virus attack. The key for most of these programs to work is to not allow any more writing to the disk in question. A good program for data that has been accidentally deleted is undelete. It has been used hundreds of times to recover data that has been deleted by the act of a person.
One of the key things in choosing the right software, is to know how the data was lost. Whether it was due to a virus, a mistake on your part, or even a hardware failure, so that you can decide which is the best data recovery method to use.
If you are quick enough, it is possible that you will not even need the data recovery software. When data is deleted it is not always trashed straight away. The operating system will change the file so that it won’t be displayed when you’re looking for it.
If you can find this gap in the system before the computer uses it for something else, then it is possible to simply undelete it and the file will reappear with all your data. This way you can avoid the need for data recovery software and you should be back in business.
The trick is to be very quick and find the gap in the system before doing too much other work, as this, especially if your hard drive has got very little unused space, may cause the computer to use the gap for something else. If you have not noticed the loss, and the computer has used it, then probably your best chance is in using some good quality data recovery software or service.
Another problem can arise if you decide to repair the drive by defragging the computer, before you have a chance to try any data recovery. You probably will not lose all of it, but it is possible to lose some of it, as when you defrag it can cause some of the files to be overwritten.
Of course even if you only use one or two small files by doing this, chances are they will be the most important ones! So it is best to try to get to grips with your data recovery before doing any defragging. Even if you are not actively running this application, you should think whether you have preprogrammed to defrag the disc at specific intervals.
So if you think you have lost any data, it is always best to try and recover it before doing anything else. That way you have a much better chance of success with your data recovery.

How Small Can We Make Government and Still Have it Function? - Comments Off
United States government has obviously gotten to big and it is often referred to as the blob of bureaucracy, which is rather fitting considering that our government does nothing very well. Except of course, it is really good at wasting and spending our money. It has become even better at borrowing money from our future to buy worthless crap.
There is an old quote, which states; “we must keep our government small enough to drown in the bathtub if we have to”
Indeed and to that point I wish to remind the reader that government’s number one job is to protect the American people and it has failed to do so. Despite its huge size and trillion dollar budget it let us all down in the 911 attacks. In fact, in the 911 commission report they blamed the international terrorist bombing of the NY trade towers as miscommunication between agencies, yet there can be no excuse for failure to protect the American people. Yet, the American people accepted this failure into this day continue to accept the failures of government.
For such a great nation and all of us having such great ancestry is truly amazing that we put up with this faade in the public relations crap they purport. Still to this day the congressmen and senators went home on vacation before fixing the illegal immigration problem as our states are invaded by foreign nationals, some of whom cross the borders to build a better life and of whom come here to disrupt our political process, demanded changes in our government, sell drugs to her children, steel our automobiles and commit violent crimes.
Why is the government not protecting the American people, as that is their only job that the are responsible in doing? Yet, the neglect that job and instead provide all other types of services through the blob of bureaucracy and neglect their only one important job. Have the citizens of the United States of America become lazy and just do not care or do not care to read the Constitution of this great nation?
It seems to me that if government does nothing very well and fails to protect us and that we are the government, it is time for us to do something about it. For instance; vote all those bastards out of office and kindly tell them to kiss their asses goodbye. With a politician take the oath of office to uphold the prosecution of the United States of America be damn well better do it were quite frankly we don’t need them. Too harsh, tough luck, I have my right to free speech in that same Constitution my dear politician that you forgot to read.

Everyday Ways to Care your Hair - Comments Off
Health, strength and beauty of hair depends primarily on its nerve vigor and the good circulation of the oily scalp secretion which gives it gloss and luster. Beauty is not so much a matter of color where hair is concerned. If your hair has a fine glow, a rich sheen, is thick and long, it will be beautiful irrespective of its pigmentation. Hair often makes an otherwise plain person beautiful. And practically every woman, if she cares to make the effort, may have beautiful hair.
SOME HAIR HINTS
If you have the least suspicion of a curl in your hair, brushing around rather than straight will bring it out. Do not worry if you shed your hair. It is natural for the hair to shed — and to keep right on growing in again. Only see to it that the ingrowth is equal to the loss by shedding. No young girl should use a rat. Metal combs should be tabooed. Keep the hairbrush you use for dandruff stiff, the “polishing” brush may be softer. Use a hair net that matches your own hair color, and do not get too small a one. Remove snarls and tangles in the hair gently, with fingers, before brushing. The three-weekly or monthly shampoo is a good rule. If you wash your hair too often, it will turn dry and brittle and change color.
The hair should never be worn “done up” constantly. This is injurious because every part of the hair should have frequent air and sun baths. For normal shampoo employ Castile, tar or vegetable soaps, and Green soap for oily hair. A good egg shampoo may be made of an egg, thoroughly beaten, one tablespoon alcohol, four ounces bay rum, a pinch of borax, and four ounces of Castile soap mixed in a pint of hot water, to be used when cool.
Hair that is blonde or ruddy, as well as gray hair, may be washed with Castile soap jelly plus a quarter-teaspoonful of borax. Always comb and brush thoroughly, with finger-tip massage. After shampooing is the best time for scalp massage, hair pulling and skin loosening.
DRY SHAMPOO AND SCALP MASSAGE
The scalp and hair should be cleansed between shampoos. For this purpose the “dry shampoo” is necessary. It is actually a form of scalp massage. Preparations of orris, corn meal and other dry shampoo powders are not recommended. They stick, and it is hard to get them out of the hair. A vigorous rubbing of the scalp after the hair has been parted, using a small piece of muslin over the tip of the finger, is best. Hot and cold applications are good, with or without shampoo, especially if the hair is falling. Remember that the hair should not be “hot-air” dried. The hot-air cone used for the purpose in hairdressing establishments destroys the hair. Human hair should always be dried by hand.
Scalp massage makes the hair grow and prevents many hair troubles. A five-minute finger-tip mas- sage, night and morning, is the one ounce of prevention worth a pound of cure. The electrical massage by a professional (after a shampoo), the violet ray, and the rubber-disk vibrator are all excellent for the hair. They strengthen and stimulate.
HAIR TONICS
Massage is the first and best hair tonic. Though a good scalp lotion may stimulate circulation, massage always does so more directly. In general it will be wise to remember that tonics are meant for specific purposes of cure for hair disorders, rather than for common use. A little refined beef marrow rubbed gently into the hair roots is a good natural tonic (though an old-fashioned one) and together with plenty of fresh air and sunshine, does more for the hair than all the compounded tonics and “restorers” marketed. Every woman can keep her hair in good condition if she chooses to. If she cannot give it attention in the morning she shoulcf do so at night.
HAIR TROUBLES
Most hair troubles could be prevented in the start by ordinary good care of the hair, and the maintenance of the state of general good health. Of course, various diseases affect the hair: fever dries it out and makes it fall; syphilis and other sex diseases poison and destroy it. Some skin diseases have the same effect. In general, if you are healthy, broadly speaking, your hair will be healthy too.
Dandruff—What we have to deal with in dandruff is a horny layer cast off by the scalp. This layer thickens, closes the pores, diminishes the hair’s oil supply, and prevents the perspiration glands from getting rid of waste. Soon the hair loses tone and color, and is covered with whitish powder. Then it starts to itch and fall. In an advanced state of the disease, the hair falls out, and blood crusts form on the scalp as a result of scratching. Digestive disorders, toxic elements in the blood or local irritation may cause dandruff, and it is communicable.
Daily care of the scalp, massage and brushing, if persisted in when the disorder first appears, are very beneficial. The crude oil massage of the scalp, not the hair, is excellent and often effects a cure. A massage every night, using vaseline or olive oil, together with repeated shampoos, also helps to do away with dandruff. Although pomades in general should be avoided, a pomade with a precipitated sulphur base, mixed with glycerine, rose-water, lanoline, and soap, or a sulphur ointment or cream kills the dandruff germ.
There is an “oily dandruff,” also, though the disease is most commonly a dry scalp one. Shampoo with tincture of Green soap should cure this type of the disease in about a week’s time. If you have dandruff, observe a regular diet, and stick as much as possible to milk and fresh fruit.
Falling Hair.—An acid condition of the blood encourages the hair to fall. Correct it and you will have removed the cause of your complaint. The use of the violet ray and the vibrator, which hold down the tendency to an oily scalp, is also valuable for hair treatment in this connection. So, too, are hot and cold applications.
HAIR DISEASES WHICH SHOULD NOT OCCUR
Favus, the development of yellow scalp crusts, accompanied by severe itching, bald spots and a musty odor, is a dirt disease, hence inexcusable in a woman, unless as a result of infection. To remove it the scalp must be soaked in olive oil for a few days, carbolic acid being mixed with it in a weak solution, the hair pulled out of the most infected areas, the crusts removed, and the whole scalp shampooed with an antiseptic soap.
Ringworm is usually a gift of those evil things, the “common property” comb and brush, or the patent hair clipper. Rubbing with sulphur ointment, washing with bichloride soap, or painting with iodine, to precede the application of a cleansing ointment, is the treatment. It is dangerous since it may result in baldness.
Head lice (which may be cured by saturating the hair with kerosene or crude petroleum at night, wrapping in a towel to retain fumes, and following by antiseptic soap shampoo) is a most disgusting trouble, and unless communicated cannot occur except as a result of neglect and uncleanliness. The possibility of contagion constitutes the menace of all three of these diseases.
Everybody Poops - What Your Poop May Be Trying to Tell you - Comments Off
I have to admit up front, this is going to be the crappiest article I’ve ever written.
You see, as I was walking my dogs Marty and Rosie the other day, it occurred to me that poop plays a huge role in my life. I’m not afraid to admit it. I pick up after my dogs every day, I scoop my cat’s litter box every day (OK, not EVERY day, but it certainly feels that way), and I talk with my clients about their bowel movements. In fact, while I was in India this past summer, poop was actually the number one topic of conversation between my colleagues and me, as we compared notes on who had diarrhea and who was still healthy. I even remained on “poop watch,” for several weeks after my return to the States, making sure that everything was OK (and thankfully, it was!)
So, if you are a pet owner, parent, health care professional, or world traveler, you probably know what I mean!
But many people don’t get to talk about poop as much as I do. I know this because when I ask people about their poop, I often get blank stares and uncomfortable looks. So, I let’s talk about all of the questions that people want answered but are usually afraid to ask. After all, your poop is an important indicator of your overall health!
What is Poop?
Have you ever wondered what poop actually is? About 75% of your average poop is water, although this will vary depending on the person. Water is absorbed out of fecal material as it passes through the large intestine, so the longer you take to “go,” the drier your poop will be.
The remaining 25% is comprised of dead bacteria that helped us digest our food, living bacteria, protein, undigested food residue (also known as fiber), waste material from food, cellular linings, fats, cholesterol, salts, protein, and substances released from the liver and the intestines (such as mucus).
What Makes a Healthy Poop?
Your feces are a clear indicator of the health of your gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Mehmet Oz says, “At the end of the day you can analyze your body really effectively by looking at what comes out of your body.”
So what should you look for? A healthy poop will be:
- Golden brown, which is due to pigments formed by the bacteria in the gut and bile from the liver. You want to make sure the color is normal because that tells you a lot about what’s going on in your gastrointestinal tract (more on color below).
- Formed into one long shape. Dr. Michael Levitt, an Australian colorectal surgeon who has written a book called The Bowel Book, says that the healthy human stool resembles the shape and consistency (although not the same color) of an unripe banana. Dr. Oz says ” You don’t want [pieces].” Some experts disagree, saying they don’t have to be well- formed. Patrick Donovan, N.D., a naturopath in Seattle, WA says “Stools don’t have to be well- formed logs. They can disperse in the toilet water; they can break down.”
- Nearly odorless.
- About 1 to 2 inches in diameter and 18 inches long.
What About Other Colors?
Sometimes we don’t see that “golden guru,” and are faced with something else instead. Here’s some insight into what those other colors might mean.
- Black: Feces can be black if dried blood is present in it from internal bleeding in the upper digestive tract. See a doctor if this is the case.
- Very Dark Brown: Drinking wine the night before may result in dark brown poop. This could also be the result of eating too much salt, or not enough vegetables.
- Yellow: One condition that can cause yellow poop is an infection known as giardia, a dangerous infection that can spread to others. Another cause of yellow poop may be a condition known as Gilbert’s syndrome. See your doctor if you are consistently seeing yellow poop.
- Green: Babies often have green poop when they are given food for the first time. Children may have green or blue poop from certain illnesses or from ingesting food colorings. Adults may also have green poop if they eat large amounts of green, leafy vegetables or if they eat large amounts of foods with green food coloring. Light green poop may indicate excessive sugar in the diet. Green feces can also occur with diarrhea if bile salts pass through the intestine unchanged. Again, see a doctor if you are concerned!
- White/pale: Feces can appear white or pale after drinking barium sulfate, which is often given to patients getting an X-ray of the digestive tract. A white or pale stool may also be an indication of problems with the gallbladder or liver.
- Red: Bright red in the feces may be indicative of active bleeding, possibly the result of hemorrhoids. A magenta color may result form eating intense red food coloring, or red foods such as beets.
How Often Should I Poop?
Ah - the big question! Experts disagree on how often a person should poop. The National Institute for Diabetes, Kidney, and Digestive Diseases says three times a week is normal and healthy for some people. According to Ayurveda, an ancient Indian healing system, once a day is ideal. Other experts advocate once or twice a day, while still others say a person should have a bowel movement within two to three hours of a major meal- -or two to three times a day. So you can see that it really depends on who you talk to. My personal opinion is that you above all want to be regular in your pooping schedule, and that one poop a day is ideal.
When someone poops four times a day or more and the poop has a liquid consistency, this is referred to as diarrhea. When someone poops less than two or three days a week and the poop is hard, dry, and difficult to pass, this is known as constipation.
What’s the Deal with Corn???
It’s funny, so it’s ok to laugh. But most people I know have experienced it and they ask why it is that when you eat corn, the next time you poop there it is again! There are a couple of reasons for this. One is that most of us do not thoroughly chew our food. Another interesting tidbit I’ve learned that there is an outer coating on corn that is made up of indigestible cellulose. This outer coating slips off the inner kernel and, since it’s indigestible, passes through the gut intact. It then emerges looking like a whole kernel, even though it’s just the outer skin. The inside of the kernel is starchy and digestible, and that is the part that we succeed in chewing and digesting.
Well, hopefully you know now a lot more about this important topic. And that’s the scoop on poop!

Motivation! The Key To Inner Peace - Comments Off
I’ve always been a motivational coach of sorts. I think I inherited that gene from my mother. My dad was a key contributor also. Heck, I’ve just had a charmed life!
You see, I was a military dependent. I traveled the world. I experienced many cultures, many sports, many geographies, many challenges, and a great deal of luck. Now, you might ask yourself what all that has to do with motivation and I’m about to tell you.
I have seven Purple Hearts. I was on the National Ski Patrol. I played semi-pro baseball. I’ve seen the world. I used to swim and dive competitively. I’ve played with a famous Rock and Roll band. I’ve owned a successful technology company. Yet, I’ve always felt that none of those things really mattered to people I had to interact with.
I learned at an early age that helping other people achieve their dreams was more gratifying than anything I could ever achieve on my own. That belief actually helped me become a decent parent to my children.
I wasn’t always sure that this was an actual “skill” that someone could put on their resume but ultimately, it helped me become someone who can look at their children and say “gee, I helped mold that terrific person”.
Now, how did I hone that skill? Well, I think back on all the “real” challenges I’ve had over the years. As an Infantry Officer, try “motivating” the smallest person in your Platoon during the Viet Nam war to become a “tunnel rat”.
As a business executive, try “motivating” a key employee NOT to take that “fat” offer from another company and continue to make outstanding contributions for your own company.
Try to “motivate” a good friend who is “slightly” over weight to ultimately “fit” into a dress that was three sizes smaller than she was.
Try to “motivate” a client (who was facing bankruptcy) to have faith your proposal to salvage their own financial future.
I’ve been able to solve these problems and many more by adhering to one key ingredient… always looking at things from the other person’s point of view. Always ask yourself, if I were in their position, what would “motivate” me to achieve a goal that I really wasn’t “sold” on.
I’ve found that most people respond to the concept of “respect”. More than anything else, most people respond to another person’s unfettered “belief” in them. If you truly convey your belief in someone else’s ability, they can achieve almost anything.
I’ve always known that my own skills and tenacity, logic, and belief in myself could help me achieve almost anything.
But when you put that same energy into believing in someone else, you convey a power that is transformed from you to that person without that person even suspecting that they could ever fail at anything.
The real key to “motivating” someone else is to believe in your own soul that this person can achieve greatness. Try it with your own kids… it really isn’t that hard to do.
Then, you must convey that greatness in a way that doesn’t appear condescending. Believe it yourself. Say it out loud so that the other person actually hears it. You’ll be amazed at what your belief in other people’s abilities can do!
Just think about your vision of any “successful” person you choose. It could be the President. It could be Bill Gates. It could be a famous movie actor. It really doesn’t matter.
Now, ask yourself if that person really achieved their “greatness” all by themselves or did they have someone who served as their “motivator”? If you become that “motivator” for someone as “insignificant” as your own child, you may also create “greatness” some day.
Not all of us are on this earth for the glory of being “great”. Most of us are here because we have the capacity to “motivate” others.
Find a person who you believe in and help them achieve their greatness.
Then, find someone who, at first, you don’t believe in as much. Reach inside yourself and truly inspect that person’s ability to achieve greatness. Then, “motivate” the heck out of that person until they finally realize that they too can achieve whatever they choose.
If you can find it in yourself to be that unselfish, you too can achieve greatness.

$20 Buys a Lot of Game These Days - Comments Off
Watching the evolution of sports games has been like watching a retarded child grow up to become a handsome and brilliant Master of the Universe. Now I’m not saying ESPN’s NBA 2K5 is the pinnacle of sports gaming, but I will tell you why it comes pretty damn close - especially for all of us basketball fanatics. Before I go on, let us talk a little bit about the “Corky” Thatcher friendly games of the past.
In 1958, Bill Higinbotham and Bob Dvorak developed Tennis-For-Two, the world’s first virtual sports game. The game itself worked on an oscilloscope and basically demonstrated the magic of Pong in green wave form. Electronic signals bouncing back and forth in an electronic . Over the next two years, Bill and Bob demonstrated Tennis-For-Two to astounded audiences across New York, but it would take another quarter century before the next electronic sports game would work its way into the public eye.
It was 1978 - our parents were high on coke, Carter was jerking off the Chinese and Atari released its arcade sports classic, Football. And if a title is any indication of the creativity behind this electronic ball of shit, it fit like a glove. Sitting on a whopping M6502 cpu with less than 1 Mhz of processing power, the only glimmer of hope for this inept beast was the unique roller-ball controls.
By the late 80’s, the NES vs. Sega gaming war was in high gear leaving Atari’s Football and most other first generation arcade titles collecting dust in dive bars across America. The fierceness of said battle brought us some of the most memorable sports games to date. With the likes of Tecmo Bowl, Punch Out, and All-Star Baseball, things were indeed looking up for the aspiring couch potato youth of the world.
The 90’s brought a new era of 64 bit systems and remarkable graphics in the sports game arena. Even the game play for football, hockey and baseball titles were impressing the masses, but developers still hadn’t given much attention to basketball titles. Just another example of whitey trying to keep the black man down.
In comes Sega’s ESPN NBA 2K5.
As fans of the real life game, we know the way players are supposed to move and interact with one another on the wood. We know that players don’t stop to catch a pass (so eat shit, EA) or change dribble direction in a split second. This is why Sega’s geeky team of developers can self high-five their asses straight to the bank.
This year’s release offers numerous adjustments and new features made to create the series’ most realistic basketball simulation to date, powered by a physics engine that can truly handle the quick paced, high scoring, stop-and-go game play with lubricated ease.
Sega also introduces a “Next Movement” system designed to display skills and talents from specific NBA players. A player’s particular physical makeup now helps determine how well he performs in everything from running up court on a fast break, rolling a pick, or cutting off an open lane on defense.
The key feature that ties all this goodness together is the “IsoMotion” control. Using one of the thumb sticks to control your player, you can glide him across the floor and execute hop-step jukes as smooth as Iverson on his best day. Playing online, however, I’ve learned that this method of controlling can be exploited to create impenetrable defense when you throw in network lag and a stick happy adversary. Once the glitches are worked out, I imagine the 24/7 mode of online play to be the biggest hit of this fall and winter season.
Speaking of which, the 24/7 mode is a definite step in the right direction for bringing gamers online. 24/7 allows you to create a player and run him through training levels to collect points which unlock new courts and increase your skill level. It’s like an RPG, but fun!
I’ll close with this: The fucking game costs $20 bucks. Go buy it.
